The roots of \(x^2 +px + q = 0\) are real, where p and q are real numbers. Prove that the roots of \(x^2 + px + q + (x + a)(2x + p) = 0\)
are real, for any real number.

Thanks! Also what happened to CPhill?

Cphill didn't get hacked, he decided to take a rather (long) break, maybe since he's busy.

Why is his account not mod anymore, and why is he banned?

His account is still mod, you can see it since it has a knight in the top right corner.

He's not banned, he's still here with every post.

Please check your sources next time.
