If h is degree 5 or less    the terms from adding it all have exponents 5 or less

f(x) is multiplied by a polynomial of degree 2

    the right side has a term of degree 6      so f(x) must be of degree 4

           example    x^2  * f(x)

                             x^2 * x^4   = x^6

Law of sines

7/sin90 = TU/sin40

TU = 7 sin40 = ~4.5 cm

360 total shares

A = 35 dolar share quant                             value =  35A

B = 45 dollar share quant   = 360-A             value = 45(360-A)

     the values summed = 15000

35A     +   45(360-A) = 15000     Solve for A         then  B = 360-A

Well...thanx!   That makes my answer a lot more confident !     ~EP

Let x =  sqrt 9 sqrt27 sqrt128.......

square it      square it     square it again

and you have     x⁸ =    612220032 sqrt 9 sqrt27sqrt128.....    the red part is 'x'

(61222032 is 9⁴27²128)

                           x⁸  =61222032 x

                           x^7 = 612220032

                            x = 18                          ????

First find  SN length     pythag theorem    4^4  + SN^2 = 22^2      SN = 21.6333   or 2 sqrt117

UM goes up  sqrt117  units  (Pythag theorem again with a line dropped from M)    for a horizontal distance of 6 units

sqrt117/6 = NX/4       yields NX = 2/3 sqrt 117         sooooo   SX =  2 sqrt 117  -  2/3 sqrt 117 =  4/3 sqrt(117)  units    (I think ! )

Not positive about this answer !

Get the total distance sum     then divide by the total time sum

                                                          Rome time   3487.5 m / 465 m/hr = ........ hr

total distance / total  time  = avg

3(8-4x)<6(x-5)   expand both sides

24-12x<6x-30

54 < 18x

x> 3                 the line which is greater than 3   BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE 3   is the answer

1/11  *  7/9 =.......

find the slope between the tw given points     (y1-y2) / (x1-x2)   =   6/(-12)    = m

  parallel is the same slope

    y = mx +b

    y = -1/2 x + b     sub in the  point to be on the new line

    9 = -1/2(7) + b     b = 12.5

y = - 1/2x + 12.5
