7x-3=2x+12    Start by ADDING 3 to both sides of the equation to get

7x = 2x + 15     Now SUBTRACT 2x from both sides to get

5x = 15           Now, DIVIDE both sides by 5

x = 3

Let the number you are looking for be 'x'

twice 'the number '  = 2x

two more than 6 is 6+2 = 8

2x=8  divide both sides by 2

x=4

7/8 ripe  x  32 total  =   (7x 32) / 8 == 224/8== 28 are ripe

if you have an angle and you know the sin is .34 and you need to find the angle ,  enter '.34' then push 2nd button then asin button, then ' = '

Hmmmm... I think you may have something wrong here....

39.26/138  = 18/sin(x)    

sin(x) = 18 / (39.26/138) = 63.27     cannot happen.....sin only goes fro -1 to +1.....  Do you have any more information?

I agree with Max, since you asked for SPEED.   If you had asked for VELOCITY, (which is a vector), all of those angles WOULD matter !
