2x^2-4x-9 = 0
Quadratic formula show one value of x = [2 + sqrt (22) ] / 2 FInish from here
(15, -6) and (-3, 13) find slope, m , between these two points = - 7/18 parallel line has same slope
point slope form of new line thru (4,2)
y -2 = -7/18 (x-4)

a = 384 / b^4
then 384 / b^4 * b^5 = 4608
b = 4608/384= 12 then a = 384/ 12^4= .0185
You cannot have negative time ....so the domain is 0 and all positive t [0,+inf)
the range will be 0 through the max of the parabola: + inf (did you forget a ' - ' sign?) [0,+inf)
If a = -1/2 the x^14 from f(x) and the 2 x^14 from g(x) will 'cancel' and you will be left with degree 10
smallest value would be ~ 0 when x is very very large
largest would be 1/5 when x = 0
(0, 1/5] Yo can finish.....
Add the two equations together to get
1/x + 1/x = 10
2/x =10
x = 1/5
then find y 1/ 1/5 + 1/y = 3
5 + 1/y = 3
1/y = -2
y = -1 /2 you can finish ...yah?
see original post.....
Here is how that works
suppose polynomial is 3x ^2 + 2x -4 when x = 0:
0 + 0 - 4 then when x = 1 :
3 + 2 -4 now subtract when x = 0 from when x =1
3 + 2 -4 - -4 = 3+2 = 5 which is the sum of the coefficients !
