These questions almost answer themselves.....did you find the answers?  It is about learning HOW the symbols translate into English.....

THIS is ' less than or equal to' :   <=   or  ≤

   This is 'greater than or equal to'   >=  or  ≥

     your First question asks for 'h' greater than or equal to 155      Right?

        and it also asks for 'h' less than or equal to 190........   does this help?   Which answer says these ???

Your SECOND question says you have to be at LEAST 48" tall ....or:  greater than or equal to 48 inches.....clearer now?

First, expand your given equation

2(x-3)^2 - 2

2 (x^2 - 6x +9) -2 =

2x^2 -12x + 16 = 0     Simplify by dividing by '2';

x^2 -6x+8=0                             NOW do you see what a,b,c are????

I'll do the first one...solve for 'x'

First simplify the expression

x(-2y^2) / 2x = y^3/(-(4x+y)     simplify the left side (the 'x' cancels)

-2y^2/2 =Y^3/(-(4x+y)              Now the 2's cancel on the left

-y^2 = y^3/ (-(4x+y))                   Divide both sides by y^2

-1 = y/(-(4x+y))                   Multiply both sides by  -(4x +y)

4x+y = y                         Subtract y from both sides

4x=0                             Divide both sides by 4

x=0

All you have to do is set the equations = and solve for 'x'

45.5x + 0 = 35.75x + 49

9.75x = 49

x=5.025 months
