Sure!     Here is an example:

2 1/3 +  2/5     First convert  2  1/3 to an improper fraction: =  7/3

So now you have

7/3  + 2/5        Now, when adding fractions you MUST have a COMMON denominator

Common denominator  15

7/3 = 35/15    and  2/5 = 6/15

Now you have    35/15 + 6/15 = 41/15   Now simplify to   2 11/15   Done!
