We did one just like this yesterday, but instead of  '3' it was 19......

Remember..?   Can you not do what we did there to this problem???

You need  two numbers that multiply togethe to get 3 (which is prime).....there are two combos of numbers to do that....what are they?

Those two number sets  are then added together to get 'b'.......got it?

-b/2  + a/2   =

1/2 (a-b)  

Inverse log is just raising 10(or the 'base') to  the the number

LOG(23) = 1.3617      'inverse' log(1.3617)  =  10^(1.3617) = 23

For natural ln use the 'e' function.....      ln(23) = 3.1354      'inverse' ln  = e^(3.1355) = 23

log₂ 8 = 3   'inverse' log₂ (3)  =  2^3  = 8

That last line has a typo...it  should say  5  5/6     NOT   5  6/6

Most likely you would hear something in the units of    inches per week

Plant grew  (13.5 - 9) inches   in  TWO weeks

4.5 inches/2weeks   =  2.25 inches/week    For the last two weeks

13.5 inches/6weeks = 2.25 inches per week (also) for the entire 6 weeks    2.25 in/wk

Example      sqrt(9)  x   sqrt(16) =  sqrt(9 x 16) = sqrt(144)  = 12   

Amount of salt in 8ml                  =  (x%)(8ml)    Where 'x' is the % solution of the 8cc

amount of salt in 50% solution   =  .50 (9ml)

Amount of salt when finished in 42% solution  =   .42  (8+9ml)

Total salt to strat = total salt at end

8x + .5(9)  =  .42 (8+9)      Solve for 'x'

8x + 4.5   = 7.14

8x= 2.64

x = 2.64/8 = 33%  salt solution

Guest 1 shows the answer if you cannot use the numbers 1-20 more than once

If you CAN use the numbers more than once, it is MUCH larger

20 x 20 x 20 x 20 x 20 x 20 x 20 = 20^7 =20^7 = 1280000000      or     1: 1,280,000,000

Rearrange the equation in to   y = mx + b   form for a line and  'b' is the y-intercept

0x + 6y = 35

        6y = 0x +35

          y = 0x + 35/6            y intercept is  35 /6       this is just a straight horizontal line at y = 35/6 = 5 6/6
