(-5 + -8) + (-3i +4i)

-13 + i

Set the quation = 200

200 = 250 - 5t - t^2   Subtract 200 from each side

0 = 50 - 5t- t^2         Multiply both sides by -1 (just to make it easier)

0 = t^2 + 5t - 50      Factor (or use Quadratic Formula)

0 = (t-5)(t+10)        results in t = 5  or -10   (we can't have a MINUS time value , so the only answer is t =5)

t= 5 Seconds

-15 = n/(-0.2)     Multiply both sides by -0.2

3 = n

(2x+3)(x-2)

There isn't anything to 'solve'.....it needs an equal sign or something

x^5/4^5= x^5/1024

(formula for circumference of a circle)   Circumference = pi x diameter      3.14 x 27 =

(formula for area of a circle)  Area = pi x r^2    (remember:   r= radius = 1/2 diameter = 13.5)   so Area = pi r^2 =  3.14 (13.5 x 13.5) =     

Surface area   will be in   units ^2    like   square inches (in^2)   sq feet   sq centimeters   etc

Volume will be in 'volume units'....i.e.  cubic units.... cubic cm (cm^3  or cc )    Cubic inches (in^3)      Maybe liters, gallons  etc

The formulas are different for various solids......do you have an example?
