This is not a grraphing question but you can just put the two coloured in dots on a number line.

The letters stand for numbers.

The only way that 2 numbers can multiply together to give zero is if one or the other (or both) is zero.

Think about it - this is very important!

so

If     x*(x-3)=0

then either

x=0   or  x-3=0  

x=0   or     x=3  

In many respects the web2.0 calc is an excellent calculator.

If you look in the reference material sticky thread there is a section near the beginning on different web calculators.

Different calcs are good for different purposes. :)

I assume the asker just wanted you to expand and simplify it.

Also, if it did equal 0 your answer is not correct.   The answer would simply be x-5=0  so  x=+5
