If you want the first as a percenage of the second than it is certainly 18%

BUT

If you want the first as a percentage of the whole it is   9/59*100% = approx  15.25%

I just want to rewrite your question.....

Set  

\(a=6 - 4\sqrt{2}, \qquad   y=\sqrt2 - 1, \qquad  n=0, 1, 2, 3.........etc.   \)

 Iterate the following..........

\(y=\frac{1 - (1 - y^4)^{1/4}}{ 1 - (1 + y^4)^{1/4}}\)

then:

\(a=a(1 + y)^4 - [2^{(2n+3)}* y(1 + y +y^2)]\)

..........converges to what?.

There are 24 hours in a day and the clock is only going 1/3 the speed that it should

So in 24*3=72 hours

So we know that in 72 hours the clockes will be the same but will they be the same before that?

Ok so it is 36 hours.     Now I am trying to put this into a formula............

n the plan it is 4cm by 2cm

but  1cm represents 5m

so

4cm represents 4*5=20metres

2 cm represents 2*5=10metres

so the actual dimensions are 20 metres by 10 metres.
