think about this

\(8^{1/3}+125^{1/3}=2+5=7\\ so\\ [8^{1/3}+125^{1/3}]^3=7^3=343\\ but\\ [8^{1/3}]^3+[125^{1/3}]^3 = 8+125=133\\~\\ \)

343 not equal 133    ​

I can effectively ignore the k because it will not change the relationship between a and c
