A baseballgame ended in 4 - 3.        Lakers get 4 and Celtics get 3

a. How many different evolutions of the score are possible? (I don't know the exact translation but I mean like this: 1-0; 2-0; 3-0; 4-0; 4-1; 4-2; 4-3)

We have 7 scores. and I want to know how many places I can slot in 3 Celtic scores between the 4 Lakers ones. That is 7C3 = 35

or

b. After the fifth inning of the same game the score was 2 - 2. How many different evolutions of the score are possible. 

LLCC   4C2=6      then    LLC     3C1=3

6*3=18

c. The basketbal final in 2010 between the Celtics and the Lakers was played with a best-of-seven system, where they play seven games to determine the winner. The Lakers eventually won the final with an endscore of 4 - 3. Calculate the amount of evolutions of the score for this best-of-seven.

LLLCCC   6C3 = 20     then  L   

20*1 = 20

That is a very good question.

It seems my logic is rubbish.

I did say at the very beginning that I was not sure if it was right.

I should have tested that for myself.  

It is excellent that you did not just take my word for it.

I will play around with it for a bit to see if I can work out why my logic is flawed.
