when I see lot's of large numbers on a math question I get confused and frustrated. Then I end up slacking off. What can I do about it?
WEll if you mean that you see complicated looking problems and don't know what do so then i do have one strategy that will help immensely!
So you want to know how many 38g bars of chocolate you need to buy for your recipe that calls for 500g of chololate????
now that looks yucky.
Lets make the numbers smaller
So you want to know how many 2g bars of chocolate are needed for your recipe that calls for 10g of chololate????
Well you would need 5 because 2+2+2+2+2=10
BUT
how can you put 2 and 10 together to get 5.?
That is simple it is 10 divided by 2 = 5
Now repleace the easy numbers with the original numbers
500 divided by 38
500/38 = 13.1578947368421053
So you will need 13 and a bit bars of chocolate and you cannot buy a bit of a bar so you will need to buy 14 little bars of chocolate. :D
