Harriet Tubman is known for her brave efforts as an abolitionist and humanitarian. Let's explore a mathematical scenario based on her life:

Suppose Harriet Tubman traveled along the Underground Railroad, helping enslaved individuals escape to freedom. On one particular journey, she guided a group of 25 enslaved people to safety.

If each person in the group traveled an average distance of 8 miles, what was the total distance Harriet Tubman and the group traveled together?

Are you trying to get me to say they traveled 200 miles? Or 208 if you count Harriet?  I don't think so.

The question:  what was the total distance Harriet Tubman and the group traveled together?

Together, as a group, they traveled 8 miles.

Even if there had been 1,000,000 people in the group, the group traveled 8 miles together.

According to the question, it says that the average is 8 miles per person. We have 26 people (25+Harriet), so the total distance traveled is 26x8=

188.

Answer:188
