You are right...I was using the SURFACE AREA of a cylinder..... Mistake ! D'Oh!
Thanx ! ~EP

Sorry, I got the vertex coordinates backwards (as this is a sideways parabola)
should be vertex = ( 36/5 , 7 )
Volume of cylinder = pi 2r h = 54pi
rh = 54/2 = 27
h = 27/r
volume of cone = 1/3 pi r^2 h
1/3 pi r^2 27/r = 9 pi r do you have the radius ?
26 x 26 x 26 x 5 x 5 x 26 x 26 = 265 * 52 = _____________ combos
Need to 'massage' this around to vertex form of a parabola
x - y^2 + 8y = 13 + 6x - 6y
x - 6x = y^2 -14y+13
-5x = y^2 -14y+13 complete the square for y
-5x = ( y-7)^2 - 49 + 13
-5x = (y-7)^2 - 36
x = - 1/5 (y-7)^2 + 36/5 vertex is 7 , 36/5
2^(x2-3x-2) = (2^2)x-4 * 2^3x equate the exponents
x^2 -3x -2 = 2x-8+3x
x^2 -8x +6 Use quadratic formula to find x = 4 +- sqrt(10) summed = 8
f(x) = 3 cos x + 9 Here is a desmos graph it is cos amplitude 3 shifted up 9

Assuming your guage works better than mine:
3/4 x - 3/8x = 6
3/8 x = 6
x = 6 * 8/3 =.........gal
