2/3+3/4+1/6    get a common denominator  = 12

2/3  =  8/12

3/4 = 9/12

1/6 = 2/12

So

8/12 + 9/12 + 2/12   =  19/12  = 1 + 7/12

29.00*900  = 26100

We're using

A = Pe^(r*t)

Where A  is the final amount

P is the amount invested

r is the interest rate expressed as a decimal  = .0375

t is the time in years = 5

So we have

A = 50000e^(.0375 * 5)  = about $ 60311.51

14 / 25  =   x / 100

cross-multiply

1400  = 25x     divide both sides by 25

56  = x   =  56%

3 / 7   = 0.428   = 42.8%

Note  40 min = 2/3 hr

For each hour traveled.....he  rides 15km     and in the final 2/3 of an hour.....he rides 2/3 x 15 km  = 10 km

Hours Traveled       Cumulative  Distance

    1                             15km

    2                             30 km

    3                             45km

    2/3                          55km

2)   Distance  / T ime   = Rate    .....so.....

50km /    [ 3 hr 20 min]   =

50km / [ 3 + 1/3 hr]  =

50km / [ 10/3 hr] =

50km * [3 / 10\] / hr  =

[150/10]km / hr  =

15 km / hr

We're using this

A = P [ 1 + r / n ] ^ [ n * t]

Where

A is the final amt   [to be determined]

P is the amount invested [ the principal]   =  600

r is the intterest rate expressed as a decimal  = .0325

n is the number of compoundings per year = 2

t is the number of years = 3

So we have

A = 600 [ 1 + .0325/2] ^ [2 *3 ]   = about $660.93

3.2% of 40

3.2%  =  .032     and "of" means "multiply"   ....  so we have......

.032 x 40   = 1.28

y=29x+18 and y= -8x+20

The y value at their intersection will be the same so, let's just set these equal

29x + 18 =  -8x  + 20      add  8x to both sides, subtract 18 from both sides

37x  =  2      divide both sides by 37

x = 2 / 37

Note   5/9   = 10/18   .....so we have

7/18 + 10/18   = 17/ 18
