You can't because dacimals are rational numbers, they either recur or terminate.

Radicals are irrational numbers 

So it is impossible for one to equal the other,

0.707  does not equal   sqrt(2)/2

The are approximately the same but they are not exactly the same :)

Instead of JUST whinging , you could tell us what the question was and what the answers were.

You probably put the brackets in different places.

i is not a letter (pronumeral)  in your answer. it is a number.

\(i=\sqrt{-1}\)

This is the basic unit of the imaginary number system.

It means that the answer to your question was not a real number.

But sometimes the letter i is used as the basic unit of the comples (imaginary) number system.

If i is the imaginary number then  \(i=\sqrt{-1}\)

Then 

\(6i^2-2i\\ =6*-1-2i\\ =-6-2i\)

Put it in as    asin(  )

or press   2nd      sin^-1   (   )
